REAL TALK: the photo on the left is staged as hell. I was told where to put my legs, how to angle my arm, which way to tilt my hips and even how to hold my fingers. My eyes were watering from the false lashes and my hair will probably never look like that again. THESE ARE THE TYPE OF IMAGES WE COMPARE OURSELVES TO EVERYDAY! A posed, polished, perfectly lit snapshot of the highlight reel. Except this photoshoot was different, because after all the typically 'flattering' lingerie posing, @curvykate asked me to go home and recreate the pictures make-up free, hair undone and relaxed. Because behind-the-scenes deserves to be celebrated too! Our bodies are glorious from every angle. Posed or unposed. Polished or not. And we sure as hell don't need to compare ourselves to anybody's highlight reel, after all, the model in the magazine doesn't even look like the model in the magazine most of the time. 💜💙💚🌈🌞 You can see more about this photoshoot on @curvykate's blog, the link is in my bio! ✨ Left photo by @alisonvwebster with make-up by @sharlottejacks 💫

"I have cellulite, much like every other women on the planet.🙋🏼 And yes, in certain poses and lighting my cellulite can look better or worse. First i was very insecure and ashamed about having it. But why hate it and be unhappy, when you can accept it and maybe work on it and be happy🤗 ⠀ I'm not gonna write a very long story, so let me tell you this. "Imperfections" or "flaws" are there, they make you human. And if it's something you can fix, that's okay, but it's also okay when you can't fix it. Please don't be too hard on yourself. I used to think my posed body made me more... Worthy of love. Worthy of happiness. Worthy of a good life. Worthy of friends. Worthy of self love. ⠀ I hoped and wished for my body to look forever 'posed' my glorious stomach sucked in, my boobs forever perky, my back forever arched, booty forever popping. ⠀ I've slowly come to acknowledge that HEY my body is simply beautiful at all angles, unflexed, unposed, unfiltered, just raw and natural me is enough and JUST AS WORTHY!!! ⠀ We get an 'idealistic' image of what we 'should' look like forced onto us daily. Images of slim, white, 'healthy', able bodied, toned, blemish/scar free etc etc etc and we desire and wish to look that way because... well, why? ⠀ Why do we let them under our perfect skin? ⠀ You are perfect. You're perfect if you never looked toned. You are perfect if your body doesn't change in different angles. You're perfect if it does. Your perfect regardless of ANY aesthetic differences... Okay. So this was TOO GOOD to not upload. 😂🙌🏻 . Clearly there is such thing as a good photo and a bad photo. 😩 . . I'm not feeling myself today, my stomach is a bit of a mess #ibs 😤 and was gonna take some photos and took the photo to the right 💁🏼 and then I was just like nah. Which resulted in photo to the left. 😂 . I'm obviously doing my least flattering photo pose, fun thing is, don't know what happen to my face 😂💁🏼 but that's how I feel on the inside today since my body won't cooperate! . . And when I looked on the photos I was chocked about how much of a difference it is 😂🙌🏻 and I just wanted to share this 10 second #transformation that made me laugh to you guys 💋. . So do not trust everything you see on Instagram, don't be upset if your tagged in a photo somewhere and it's not a flattering one 🙈 we all have bad angles and most of all BAD MOMENTS where we can look like something completely else then we thought we looked 😂💁🏼. . I think I look charming on the photo to the left 💁🏼🤷🏼‍♀️ haha! Mabey not! 😬 . Anyway, here is a #realitycheck for yall to not be discouraged about "the perfect" photos you see on Instagram or anywhere on social media! ❤️

✖️NEWS FLASH ✖️ Our bodies are not perfect. We see models, filtered photos, and perfectly posed people all day long. Often times it causes our expectations to change. We start to believe that those people look perfect in every situation at every angel. But the reality is, posing makes a difference. Our skin gets pulled, smooshed, dimpled, squeezed, stretched, smoothed etc all day long. We are NOT 2 dimensional photos walking around. We are real. We are fluid. We are constantly changing. Learn to love YOU for YOU. Your worth is not connected to your outward appearance. Love your body for what it does. Love your body at EVERY angle. Every dimple. Every crease. Every inch. YOU are worth receiving that love ❤️. 📸repost from @yogi_lainey . . . From @saggysara: "You're worthy 🌸🌿 ⠀ Felt like posting a little reminder to myself and everyone that having body fat is normal!! Sometimes I can look lean and have abs and a few seconds later I look completely the opposite of that! And that's fine! I feel like because we constantly see images of lean toned bodies, we sometimes forget that simple things like bloating and tummy fat are completely normal things to have! There's nothing wrong with having it and you shouldn't be ashamed of it!! But I'm also not saying there is anything wrong with posting photos where you feel good about your body, if you feel confident you should post those photos! I just wanted to break down that barrier of having to look "perfect" all the time and remind people that that's not what everyone looks like 24/7 🙌🏼 ⠀ Just know that you're absolutely amazing no matter what and I hope that you're having a fantastic week!! 🌴☀️" ⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊ Follow @fitnessempire.x for more! 😊💪 ⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊ 📸Credits: @saggysara

‼️First thing my mum said when I showed her these pictures: "wow, that's a great transformation! When did you take the before picture?" Me: "this morning"😅 So just a little reminder: It really is that simple to completely change the way your body looks in seconds!!‼️ . Although I called the right pic "posing" I want to clarify that posing is also BAD posture. Walking around like that al day isn't good for your body at all! Back arched, hip pushed to the side & flexing so hard I'd almost shit myself😂 . Some of you might think the left pic is and exaggeration but truth is I used to walk around like that. Yes I was a total sloucher🙈 Slouching isn't good for your body either. The rounded shoulders, arms pushed against the body and feet so close to each other that they almost become one👣 It just screams; I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE! DON'T LOOK AT ME! And that's exactly why I used to stand like that 😓 . Making your body "smaller" can make it feel like no one can see you🐭 Guess what?? We can still see you!👀 I used to be so insecure that hiding somewhere in the corner & slouching to be as little as possible seemed like the best thing to do. That way I hoped no one would notice me🙈🐭 . For all who feel like they need to hide too: you don't!! You are allowed to be here & to be seen! You are freaking amazing and super beautiful! Stand up straight & proud and say: HERE I AM!! Walk into the room and OWN IT!👊🏼 . The way you stand actually influences the way you feel! I felt proud whilst posing but slouching instantly made me feel little and shy again🙈 Next time you go somewhere and you feel insecure pay some attention to your posture! Be proud! . Posing is a great thing but please remember that even "instamodels" don't walk around posing all day. It's simply impossible! In real life I'm somewhere in between those two pictures! Not slouching but also not posing. Unless it's picture time of course. Then you better get ready for me to do my super hero poses! 👊🏼 (Where's that Wonder Woman emoji when you need it)😭 . Anyway, get to know your body and stand proud! YOU DESERVE TO BE SEEN! YOU ARE ENOUGH! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!❤❤ Now tag another beautiful human being!👯 #imreswarriors

"I have cellulite, much like every other woman on the planet. And guess what? In certain poses and lighting my cellulite can look better or worse. We're constantly bombarded with perfect images of perfect people and it causes our internal dialogue to change. We start to feel unworthy only if we are flawless: smooth skin, soft hair, perky boobs, small waist, pretty nails. But in reality, you are worthy no matter what. Hey you!🙋🏻 Stop scrolling for a second and think about how social media affects you. Have you ever felt "lost" in this world of perfection? Felt like you're not good enough, pretty enough, skinny or curvy enough? I know I have and I still do from time to time 😶 . All we see on the internet is perfect pictures, bodies, faces and lifes. Guess what? It's not all as perfect as it seems🙅🏻 We "influencers" get to choose what we post and we usually pick our "best" pictures. We choose to show what seems to be socially acceptable and what fits with the beauty standards of todays society. Nothing wrong with that but sadly it gives the world an unrealistic idea of life and human bodies🦄 . My body isn't made out of stone, it doesn't look like the bodies you see in magazines all the time. Why? Cause life isn't a freaking magazine! I walk around, enjoy life and my body doesn't give a fuck about beauty standards. Sadly our minds do care😔💔 . It's easy to compare yourself with insta perfection and feel bad. If I'd posted the pic on the right I'm sure I'd get comments like "goals". However, I posted the left one a while ago and people still message me making fun of the way my body looks in it🙄 Guess what, both pics are me, the same body, same vacation, both beautiful yet one of them fits beauty standards better than the other. Silly isn't it? 🤷🏻‍♀️ . Whoever you are, please know that you are good enough! You are beautiful and deserve the best in life! Don't let your body or appearance hold you back in life🙅🏻 Go live your life and amazing things will happen! ! ✨ 👇🏼 leave a "❤" in the comments if you think we should love our bodies cause we're beautiful no matter what! Wishing you a day with lots of love, laughter and happiness🤗💕 oh and tag a friend who needs to read this👯 #togetherwearestronger #keepitreal #bodypositive #loveyourself

RELAXED VS. POSED (swipe left) Terrible bedroom lighting too lol Too many people get caught up on Instagram, including myself. People always post the best versions of themselves, which is great!! I encourage that.. everyone deserves to feel confident and show their best self. But a lot of people tend to forget that in real life, a "fit girls" body doesn't always look flawless. Let's be real, we all get bloated, we all get cellulite, stretch marks, and we all sometimes don't feel great about ourselves. Just because I'm in the gym 5-6x a week, doesn't mean I always look or feel photo ready. There are some days where I feel disgusting and the last thing I would wanna do is pose in front of a camera for Instagram. The thing I hate most about Instagram is how many false images and insecurities it causes. I never wanna be the kind of girl to do that.. I wanna be real with you guys and help you to become the healthiest versions of yourselves! I respond to almost every DM and comment because I truly consider my followers 'friends' and I care about helping you all! Do yourself a favor and STOP comparing yourself to girls on Instagram. Instead, choose to get inspired and motivated by pictures to get in the gym and start a healthy lifestyle! And most of all, LOVE YO FINEEE SELF💖 ⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊ Follow @fitnessempire.x for more! 😊💪 ⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊ 📸Credits: @tcrosleyfit

So I posted a pic of the difference between me standing and me sitting a while ago and I got some real badass comments🤔 I got called "fat", "ugly" and was even told that "real" fitgirls don't look like this right pic when they sit down🙄 🤦🏻‍♀️ ✨ First of all: being fit has very little to do with how you look. Having a low fatpercentage does not mean someone is fit or healthy🙅🏻 It goes the other way around too. Not having a low fatpercentage does NOT mean you can't be fit. There is no standard for being fit. We can all be fit in our own way! Find a way of being fit that makes you happy!🏋🏻‍♀️⛹🏻‍♀️🚴🏽‍♀️🏊🏼‍♀️ ✨ Then for the people who said they do not have any kind of "rolls" when they sit: we all have a skin. Your skin is your biggest organ and keeps your other organs together whilst keeping bacteria etc out. Your skin is flexible so you can MOVE🙆🏻 Being flexible also means that if you push it certain ways it rolls up a bit. Be thankful for those skinrolls! Without them you'd have to stay put in one place your entire life and probably die a lonely death. Cause no, your other inflexible friends can't move either😅 🙈 ✨ . When I sit up straight and flex I don't have any rolls. When I slouch, round my shouders and back I do have some tiny rolls. I'd rather call them skinfolds though. I'll be honest: I don't really have a huge pouch. For "normal" people standards I actually have little fat on my belly. Then again, for bodybuilding standards my fatpercentage is NOT that low at all🤷🏻‍♀️ . ✨ There is no such thing as a perfect body. Your goals depend on what kinda people you surround yourself with and look up to👀 You might look at yourself and think you're "too fat" whereas someone else looks at you and wishes one day they will look like you. Learn to love yourself no matter what! You won't find happiness in having your goal body🙅🏻 You have to find happiness within yourself!💕 ✨ There will always be people who won't like you. But guess what? There will also ALWAYS be people who LOVE you! Become your own biggest fan. See how amazing you are and suddenly you'll turn into "goals" yourself! I believe in you, now believe in yourself too!👊🏼❤❤

"Ugh, I wish I could look like you do in your photos!" Well honey, be careful because usually even the girls in the posed photos don't walk around looking like their best shots. Planned poses. Best angles. Just-the-right lighting. Sought out shots and knowing how to "work it". I was going through my camera roll, and I came across this "blooper" picture... so-to-say. I was walking on the beach, not posing, and not a care in the world, I was just... HAPPY, in between photo takes. After seeing this, I felt obligated to put these side by side, to be transparent. Being an inspiration doesn't mean having the "best abs, biggest glutes, or most shredded physique". No. Sometimes it means showing the REAL and RAW moments. Being relatable with the "caught off guard" photos. The unexpected shots that your initial instinct wants to immediately delete. But if I can show my posed, quirky, planned photos... I can share my relaxed, raw, real life pictures too. If you're scrolling through Instagram tonight, being bombarded with all these "perfect photos" and picking yourself apart for not being on that "level"... I hope this post speaks to you in more ways than one. You weren't placed on this earth to be perfect. And "perfection" sure as hell isn't your calling on life sister. Love your body at every stage, and every phase. . ⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊ Follow @fitnessempire.x for more! 😊💪 ⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊ 📸Credits: @brittany_dawn_fitness

‼️DIFFERENT KIND OF "KEEP IT REAL"‼️ I know some people are all done with the "keep it real" pictures so I thought I'd try a new one😅 I find this one kinda hilarious🙈chilling by the pool instagram vs real life👙 . Anyone familiar with the concept of having all "normal" legs when you're standing but as soon as you sit down they transform into huge piles of meat?🍖😂 Why is it that those 2 sticks we use to walk expand to the size of Texas whenever they touch a chair?😅 . This is the most NORMAL thing ever yet us girls seem to be so self conscious about it😔 Hello! Your legs are being pushed against a surface, they are supposed to expand! This doesn't mean you're fat🙅🏻 Even muscle will just look like a huge shapeless pile of meat when there's no flexing involved🍖 If you don't want your legs to expand maybe invest in stone legs!⛰⛏ I'd choose marble ones💁🏻😂 . We've just lost touch with reality because on the internet all we see are those freaking hot dog legs🌭 I am guilty of posting those too! Yet even I wondered on my last vacay why my legs were so "big" when I sat down. 😅 . Thought I'd take a good comparison pic and I'm pretty sure I've got a hernia now😅 Creating that thighgap & skinny legs feel was real hard😵 I had to arch my back like crazy, hold my legs up (serious ab work was involved) and had to sit on the edge of the pool which caused me to almost fall. Both my camera & I would have drowned in the sadness of insta perfection (I would survive the water though, I can swim!🙆🏻) To people who do sit like this in real life; I admire your core strenght & willpower! . Yep, that's the truth behind poolside hotdog pics. Truth be told I'd much rather sit like that right pic whilst enjoying an actual hotdog🌭 What is your fave poolside snack? Kinda wanted to hold a piece of watermelon whilst taking this but it turns out that's only for advanced instagram posing😅 I couldn't hold myself up, flex them abs, hold a watermelon & take pics at the same time😂 Guess I better start practicing for my next vacay!💁🏻 . Ps. I don't think there's anything wrong with the way my legs look in the pic on the right. Just showing you the difference! 🌭 vs 🍖 = both yummy🙆🏻

SWIPE LEFT TO SEE INCREDIBLE (10 second) TRANSFORMATIONS! 😮🙄😑👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽 #itsallaboutangles . . I can make myself look like I don’t have a butt at all just by standing a certain way. And I think people F҉O҉R҉G҉O҉T҉ that when they see pictures of themselves from a weird angle they’re like, “oh my God I really look like that?” - no, you don’t look like that it’s just a bad angle. 💁🏻‍♀️ . . You probably have seen these a bunch of times, and you may even be tired of seeing them, 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I know for me, even at this stage in my life I still ᒪOᐯE seeing when people do these things because it makes you remember - in case you forgot - that you’re a ᴿᴱᴬᴸ person and so is everyone else. ❤️✨🙌🏽 . . What if you woke up tomorrow and someone told you that 🅰🅻🅻 the pictures that you see on Instagram are 🅵🅰🅺🅴? Would you stop beating yourself up and trying to make yourself look like something that was almost ɪᴍᴘᴏssɪʙʟᴇ? So why do we know that half the pictures on Instagram are 🅟🅗🅞🅣🅞🅢🅗🅞🅟🅟🅔🅓 or just have ɢŗєåṭ Ŀıɢһṭıṅɢ and poses and still get frustrated that we have rolls when we sit down or that our “butts done look like hers😩” . . Just let is be a constant reminder that everything you see online isn’t what it ṡєєṃṡ and you should use your own self is MØŦłVλŦłØ₦ and know that you’re human with skin and fat that protects your organs. 💋 I’m all about striving to be the best version of 🅈🄾🅄🅁🅂🄴🄻🄵 that you want to be, but make sure you’re doing it for healthy reasons and know that everybody is different and as long as you are doing things in a healthy way that’s all that matters. ❤️ #10secondtransformation

Diamonds are a girls best friend? HELL NO! High waisted leggings are! 😍😂 . I try to be honest on my account about how I'm feeling, and yes, right now I'm not where I want to be. But I'm aware of this, and accept it, and I'm also aware not to believe every bloody 'transformation tuesday' and 'fitspiration' post I see on here. . Yes, there are genuine transformations out there, but those people will have worked hard for months, if not years, not just done a quick fix to get results! Weight loss (especially fat loss) takes time. It's a pain in the arse and a very up, down, sideways, backwards, forwards journey (you get my point ha😂🤦🏻‍♀️) so don't expect progress to be straight forward either! . In the mean time, if you do want a quick result for a good selfie, just invest in a bloody good paid of leggings 😂😂😂 . #transformationtuesday #fitspo #bodytransformation #fatloss #weightloss #diet #exercise #progress #journey #results #longlivehighwaistedleggings #bestfriend #fitness #dontbelievetheinstahype #10secondtransformation #realtalk #thegoddessrevolution

Right photo: Immediately deleted & forgotten about. Both photos unedited & seconds between them. I do so many of these but this one is my scariest & most exposing so far. I was going through my recently deleted folder ready to 'delete all' but saw the right photo & recovered it. ⠀⠀ I felt this sense of guilt that I'd deleted it & posted the left one. A year ago I would've been left feeling so unhappy by how I look on the right & deleted it forever like it never happened but it was a huge reminder for me today that Instagram can be such a 'perfection trap'. ⠀⠀ I'm clearly super happy in the right one after @brontekingg had cracked a hilarious joke, I don't hate it but the lighting isn't 'flattering' nor is the way I'm holding my body or the angle of it but it's ME. Both of the photos are me 🙋🏼 I am proud of how I feel about my body looking at these photos. I feel like I look healthy in both & look after myself but also live without controlling myself like I have done in the past. ⠀⠀ So your Monday Motivation all the way from Singapore: People post the best photo out of a bunch taken... I know it's said a lot these days but it helps me a huge amount⠀⠀ too.
