The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 733,882 after 12,113 tests identified 743 new infections on Saturday. The test positivity rate for the day was 6.1 per cent. Unvaccinated people accounted for 80.35 per cent of the new cases.

The active cases are 97,807. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 4,023, including 122 who checked in on Saturday. Of the new hospital admissions, 94.26 per cent were not vaccinated against COVID-19. There were 451 COVID-19 patients in intensive care on Saturday.

Another 201 people recovered from COVID-19 in 24 hours, bringing the total to 605,547. Fifty-two new fatalities were reported on Saturday (96.15 per cent unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 30,528.

With 313 new inoculations in 24 hours, 3,653,739 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 1,897,330 people are fully vaccinated, and 251,144 have received a booster jab.
