The Oscar-nominated Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova became the godmother of the first Bulgarian military research ship named after the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius.
The vessel will provide transportation for the national Antarctic expeditions and carry out research activities in the Antarctic Circle, the World Ocean and the Black Sea.
The ship will also be used for practical training of cadets, BNR announces.
