Italian team covers glacier with giant white sheets to slow melting Every summer, the Presena glacier in northern Italy is protected from the sun with huge reflective tarps https://t.co/VedB1MrLs6

The Presena glacier in Italy is covered in white plastic to reduce melting. Agricultural land is covered in plastic all the time. Let's hope they learn how to do this efficiently, we would recommend silver while you are at it. We need a global competition to optimize albedo! pic.twitter.com/DZRAyzAciK
